Thanks 9k trouble I'm having is sourcing a seller online that offers a discount on 12... then also charges actual shipping. The trend these days with online sellers seems to be lowering the list price of the product to make it appear attractive then charge insane shipping rates to blow any margin of savings. IE: one listing I saw recently wanted something like $65 shipping for 6 filters. Actual cost for a business to ship cannot be more than $20-$25 probably less if they sell decent volume.
And the 2 MAZDA dealers in my city don't offer a discount on a dozen filters so I'll contact Paul at mazmart and see if there is any savings. I change my oil so often just seems sensible to save a few bucks if I can.

9k... since I have an oil change addiction like a crack smoker smoking crack... I change oil and filter on all my cars and trucks over the years at around 1k miles and often less.
So I'm wondering what your thoughts are regarding using the highest flow filter possible... and with the constant oil changes well before scheduled interval and factory magnetic drain plug attracting ferrous metals... Is there any advantage to better oil flow with this in mind?
If so... who makes the highest flow filter for rx8?
This is just something I've been chewing on recently most online threads I've searched pertain to filter media size and density and not specifically to this idea.
