I hope to find an R3 in a junkyard as I would like to scavenge its suspension components to replace and fix my busted up suspension components. If you have seen any or know of some good condition low mileage rx8 front strut assemblies, even non R3 I would be interested.

since you said parts car...... interested in letting a couple of things go? I cant seem to find an s2 in a salvage yard closer then 400+ miles away.

good luck for me would mean bad luck for whoever were to get hit while driving around their s2. but i will take what luck i can get...

 

I'm happy if they are still on the road but I figured its best to ask the locals who have already been around the S.A area then going from youpullit to junkyard and physically trying to track them down.

 

RX-8's in salvage yards are rare just due to the low numbers of 2009-2011 RX-8's sold. But New Laredo Highway is salvage yards on both sides for a couple of miles and I have found RX-8's there but never an S2. Best bet is to search online. We are willing to part out some stuff on the R3 but not the suspension, I need the car mobile.

Most of the body panels and the interior seats and door cards are on this 2005 RX-8. The trans is in my 2004 and few other parts have been pilfered as well. It was a water damaged car with 9000 miles on it.

 

I'm in Dallas so the junkyards around there won't work for me. And I need engine parts bike or a crossover tube and trigger disc wheel

 

Well I went to Dallas recently to buy the leather interior out of a 2010 GT to put in my 2004. The guy had a part out thread here, he advertised as an individual to subvert forum rules but when I went to pick up the stuff it was a business that parted our RX-7's and RX-8's. But either way the price was right.

 

you happen to still have his contact info or SN? and just to clarify I could care less if it came from an r3 it does however have to be from an series 2


parts im looking for: s2 only please
-trigger disc
-oil crossover pipe
-oil cooler lines (I just need the part that bolts to the engine)
-water pump


that's what im in need of. I just copy/paste from my WTB thread. if your willing to part with any of it my roommate is currently visiting her fiancé down in SA over the holidays and may be willing to meet with you to pick anything you may have up if you wanted to avoid shipping. however id be willing to pay for shipping if the cost was reasonable... im just trying to avoid stealership cost and more then likely shipping time if they had to order any of it. and I cant imagine them stocking anything that im looking for
