Was replacing blower motor on passenger side and noticed a wire was unplugged from the box that is shown in the attached image. Someone disconnected it, car was bought new from dealer. Anyone know what it is? Has a small dial on side. Located on passenger side behind glove box.

 

That is the shock sensor for the alarm. It's optional. Well it was, not sure if it is standard on the 2009+ or not. It looks beat up though.

 

Weird that it's unplugged. Bought it new from dealer. It's just dusty

 

It is weird. The plastic around the adjustment **** looks cracked too.

 

Odd that the # on the tag means nothing (I searched). The fact that it was unplugged could have been from previous service or previous owner had issues/service that forgot to plug back in. I'll have to look up the shock sensor on a wiring diagram to see how it interconnects.
