Just a heads up to anyone looking for new tires for their R3, TireRack has some stock size, 2013 production coded Pirelli PZero Nero GT's for $79.40. That was too good of a deal to pass up, so I ordered some to replace my worn out stock tires.

Well, that pretty much destroys anything else dollar-for-dollar, doesn't it? :-P

Though... if you drive hard enough to wear these out before the rubber starts to suck from age, you'll probably miss the grip of a better tire. Hmmm...

 

Considering that any tire you buy will likely have been made in 2015 at the latest, it's not so bad. Shopping at many local tire places you might get tires older than that with no disclaimer and no discount too.

Also, if it helps, the 3 date codes that I could see on mine were all 4713, so 47th week of 2013, so nearly a 2014 tire. I have no reservations about their age.
