Instead of putting load resistor you modify the flasher. Using load resistor defeat the purpose of low battery draw, instead now you have a huge heat output source (the load resistor)

This mod will by-pass the "hyperflash". It will flash about 20% faster than stock.

Lift pin #8, solder jumper wire from Pin #8 to Pin #10
Picture and Orientation of the controller chip is attached

Takes about 10mins from opening up the flasher module to soldering the jumper wire.

 

The RX-8 is the new Civic so why not.

 

Wasn't there a company who sold an aftermarket piece for the flasher module that you can just swap in place that solves this issue?

 

This is mostly what I did for my LEDs. I just clipped pin 8, did not connect to pin 10. It flashes slightly faster, but it's not civic bad 9k

Can you guys post videos of the flashing speed? Also does this mean you can't go back from LED's to the original bulbs?

 

You can go back to regular bulbs. You just won't get the rapid flash if you have a bulb burn out. That is all it is for. If you want the rapid flash back for a burnt out bulb then you can just solder the clipped lead back together.

Seems like it still flashes fast to me???

 

It flashes a little faster than normal but not nearly as fast as with the pin connected. Try taking one of your bulbs out and see how fast it flashes for comparison.
