Rear brake kit to match front

Ok so there has been a few threads on this but was wondering if there has been anything recently.

I Have the rx8 Brembo GT BBK which im very please with there slightly more responsive then stock but its more there longevity ive had them on over 5 years and there has been minimal wear where as i up graded the rears to performance discs and there heavily worn and also stock size.
So I was thinking id upgrade the rear to match the front using brembo discs so was wondering if anyone has had any luck with upgraded rear calipers or brackets for stock to take larger discs.

I got a K sport BBK. got them powder coated to the car and they work amazingly. the only thing is it takes the handbrake function away so I need to get on that asap. and since the calipers were too big I had to get spacers so that they would fit. after putting the spacers I had to roll the fenders to prevent rubbing. now I need a better suspension soon. so much to do to make it look & perform better

There are kits available but you lose the parking brake function. I have the Racing Brake kit front and rear but the rear is only two piece rotors, stock calipers.

yeah thats what I was afraid of tbh I dont mind keeping the rear stock calipers if there is a bracket to extend them to take a similar sized disc to the front.

is there a way around the parking brake to get its function back other than keeping the rear stock brakes? is there an adapter I can buy of some sort?

Why would you want larger rear brakes?

Nope, there was a company that made a kit that kept the parking brake but no one bought the kits so he stopped making them.

Im sorry I should have been more specific. What I meant was, couldnt a different one judt be retrofitted onto the 8? As long as one has a welder and some skill, seems like a pretty easy thing to do to me.

This is something that is on my wishlist to do actually. I know there will not be much performacd gained and all of that jazz, i just think having 4 wilwoods would really polish off the build (from outside)

There is always a way to do it if you have the cash.

Mazdatrix sells a kit to put 13" rotors on the rear using the stock calipers, so it keeps the parking brake.
