Ok so I had jut ran a 1/4mi in my car. During it I noticed my car was bouncing a lot initially when I launced(well more than usual) but calmed down. Towards the end I had trouble shift in into 4th and right after I heard a clanking/rattling sound under my car. I can also feel it in my shifter. Is it my transmission(for the love of god someone tell me otherwise) is something loose any help much appreciated.

 

Does the sound change with rpm? Or with speed? Or constant?

 

Yeah what is the tempo related to? Does it sound like the tempo of the drive shaft possibly? Half shaft? Tire pace? Rear end? Tranny RPM's? Engine RPM's? BTW if it is a tranny I wouldn't sweat it too much as there are so many available spares now you could pick up a good second hand one for a reasonable cost.

Well sorry to hear that but like I said there are dozens available second hand with low mileage and in good shape not too expensive, quick in and out but I understand that sudden unexpected inconvenience and cost, but with the 8? Nothing should be sudden or unexpected it seems.
