Radiator light coming on, not overheating

My radiator light was coming on and I believe it's just a sensor because it is not over-heating. What's interesting is when I put it in neutral and let it coast for a second it turns off. I was told it is a bitch to replace the sensor but want to get it addressed, should I just ignore it or is this something that can be resolved easier then what I was told. Thanks in advance.....

The problem with the light/sensor is well documented. Search.

Personally, I hate having to search this forum and waste countless minutes (sometimes hours) trying to find the answer to a simple problem. Especially when I want the solution RIGHT NOW.

So here ya go:

"Some vehicles may experience the coolant level warning light coming on, even though the correct amount of coolant is in the coolant reserve tank and radiator.
The coolant level sensor float in the coolant reserve tank deteriorates and absorbs coolant. The float gets heavy and sinks, causing the the coolant level warning light to turn on. As a mass-production change, the design of the float has been modified."

If this is your problem – and it probably is – you need to replace your coolant reserve tank with one that has the modified float:
TANK, SUB & SENSOR (N3H1-15-351G) - $110.81 - N3H115351G

Hey thanks for saving me the time of sifting through hundreds of posts doing a search!! It's not that I am lazy and not capable of searching just figured I'd post first to get the latest answer from someone that has already dealt with this up close and personal and won't take too much of their time to answer. I really appreciate the community here because I really don't know jack.
