new double din, No ac control

Hi,

My car came with a kit for a double din, the previous owner removed his. The dash sat nav display doesnt show anything and the ac controls do not function.

I believe it has something to do with the kit. How can I get the screen and ac controls working and also have a functuoning aftermarket stereo. The ac blows cold air, but thats as far as it goes, i can control fan speed, but not temp, ect...

yeah, it is actually being installed as we speak, I paid a shop to do it, they said that the wiring has to be done a certain way. they called me and said they cant get the ac or screen to work... I am wondering if there is something they don't know.

Well, they would have to look at the directions for the Metra kit (if it is a Metra kit) and make sure everything is wired up and working properly.

Looks like it is a bigger issue, they installed the stock radio to test it, and the ac controls did not function with the stock radio,

So there is a bigger issue, i guess.... the ac does blow cold, weird

Solder breaks on the HVAC controls are fairly common. Search here, there is a DIY.
