So I've owned my 8 for 10 years and it gave me a lot of joy. I loved this car, but the engine is dead(again) and now that I'm out of warranty and the wear and tear on the car just doesn't make sense to rebuild or replace the engine.

It's an 05 GT w/ 98k miles. Replaced the engine at 40k, now it's dead in my driveway.

This isn't a for-sale post because I don't know what the value is on a beat-up dead RX8.

Shortly before the engine's demise I was involved in a wreck which left the front mazdaspeed kit ruined. The car also has body damage driver left front and passenger rear quarter panel.

The good:
It is a GT edition, black leather+moonroof.
Mazdaspeed skirts and rear.
Racing beat Revi intake, straight pipe, and exhaust.
Tien lowering springs.
19" Axis Hiro wheels


I figure I can go three ways with it.
1) Sell it as-is to someone who wants to do an engine swap or project car
2) Part it out and
3) Junk it for scrap


Thoughts? Anyone know what it would be worth?

You'll get more parting it out and then selling the shell or junking the shell.

I already see a few parts I want

Remember when you set up your list of parts (if you go this route) make sure you have prices for all items.
