NE AutoX 4/18 - Loudon NH

As I missed the last one due to winter, I am hoping to attend this, my 1st event, on Sunday 4/18 at Loudon, and then perhaps the Solo School happening the following weekend same place (http://www.ner.org/soloII/2004soloschool.html) that requires SCCA membership.

Then of course you can use what you learn at the school at the AutoX AGAIN 5/2 in Loudon. We ARE blessed! :D

Anyone else perhaps going to represent the RX-8? Be great to see some of the NE Club there!

I don't think I'll be able to make it to this one as I'll be helping a friend replace a frozen clutch in an MGB. If we can get it done on Saturday I'll see you guys at the autox.

If I'm not competing, do I need to get there early? Or can I come in a bit later, like 10am?

Thanks downshift for snapping me and Mark. Lots of fun, and lots of friendly people and fast cars.

My best time actual was 39.959, Mark's 35.445 (he's good, something for me to aspire too ) Not quite sure how it all is figured out in the scoring, but according to the 'total' score I'm at 33.006, and Mark was 35.445, heehee!

If lower is better, guess they gave me brownie points for being a newbee :D (Sorry Mark!).

Nice fast course on Sunday and driving my 8 was so so smooth, even on the stock tires (5K miles). We got 6 runs each. Perfect weather (70ish), some 112 registered to run!

Boy did I get some sun on my unprepared body

Nice! I wish I could have been there but I needed to seize the opportunity to install some parts on the car. I hope to catch you guys next time.

It was a good two days. I'm glad you had a good time spin9k. You did very well for your first time out.

The novices are scored using a PAX multiplier. It is different for each class. When your time is multiplied by this factor, it is supposed to be your time if you were driving an A Mod car ( their multiplier is 1.000, an A Mod is the small car with huge wings ).

The novices are scored this way so you are competing against all the novices driving stock cars.

Spin9k, just wait till you drive a course at Devens airfield. Those courses are a more open, and you will get up around 7k-9k RPM in second in some sections.

Mark

PS I just looked at the results. You beat the Blue TT that ran in the open class. Good Job.
