Power Loss At high rpm's

Hello rx8 forum, I am new to this but don't mind that i just wanna figure out what the heck is wrong with my 8. I have been researching countless hours for this problem i have and haven't really found a good solution.

The Car:
-2004 M/T with ... a lot of miles (150,000 on car, 80,000ish on engine)
-Mazda-speed CAI
-Stock cat-less exhaust
-New plugs/wires/coils
-New starter
-The check engine CEL and low engine coolant light are always on due to the CAI the electronics are a little bit buggy.
-Changed the oil recently and periodically check the other fluids

Usually what happens is in the morning when I start driving is the car acts completely normal no problems but only when the engine hasn't warmed up. As I continue driving the car warms up and the car starts to breath really badly and quites producing as much power as it should. It makes an odd, deep, throaty noise, and is really quite painful to listen to. I can take it all the way up to 7,000-7,900, haven't taken it passed that though. When this starts happening i have tried a few things to test for certain problems and have noticed that when the transmission is disengaged (clutch is in) the engine can go all the way up to red line no problem. The car starts every time and turns over real quick. Sometimes the car does flash the traction control light and i can give as much gas as i want but it wont respond so i looked that up a while ago and found that if i turn the DSC off (by pressing and not holding it) it fixes it so i can continue driving. Not sure if this has anything to do with it but i figured it would be better to give all the details. I don't think its compression loss or a clogged cat issue because it revs easy and sounds good . If i need to i can try and record the sound and power loss but i was gonna see if anyone had the same issue and fixed it. I'm still forced to drive it so i've been trying to take it easy and only give it a good rev when the car is static.

CEL due to the CAI? We need a code, the Mazdaspeed CAI should not cause a CEL. You need to properly troubleshoot but my bet is that the intake was installed wrong or a screen in the intake has become dislodged or is not installed.

ls2 or standard coils, I have seen many non factory non ls2 coils fail on arrival. you should make sure they're all working properly.
