Is This Worth It? 04 RX-8 85k miles $6700

Hi guys! I've been lurking this forum for years gathering knowledge on the black wizardry that is the Rotary Community. Well i thought it was about time that i joined this cult.

Just wanted to know your opinion on this. Obviously, I will have to get a compression test, but the drive there would be a bit hectic.

2004 Mazda RX8

They said that $6700 is the lowest they would go.

Do you guys think this is an acceptable price? I think it is a bit high, but i shall await further opinions.

I wouldn't pay more than $6,000.00 if it has solid compression numbers. My buddy locally is selling a clean 2006 Shinka with a fresh rebuilt engine in it listed at $7500.00. And around here rust is a non issue.

That's what i asked the seller for, but he said that the price is too low. Guess I'm going to have to keep searching.

Thanks for the swift response 9k. I will get you a bottle of Plastidip as i know that's your favorite

It would depend on what kind of rebuild from Pettit.

I got my 2005 rx8 for 6500 79k miles. So unless yours doesn't have a great compression, I don't think it's worth it. Look at the carfax also

I bought my 04' with 60k, 3k on fresh Banzai racing rebuild, New Borla exhaust, magnaflow cat, tint, coils, plugs etc.and evap pump for $7k including my state sales tax and plates.
Don't buy the first one you see, find the right one mechanically and financialy.
Good Luck!

If you are still thinking about it, I think that is a bit much, especially with the creased fender.
