hey there everyone this is my build thread

I have had many cars (all rwd) and never even thought of getting a rx8.
all my friends were getting newer cars and i wanted to have a new car also so i started looking for a rwd newer car.. not a brz/frs 2 friends already have them
then i started looking at rx8s and i grew to love them so i started looking for the cleanest and lowest miles one i could find and i found.....
16k really clean not a r3 but I can deal




First thing i wanted to buy was coilovers but ended up getting a deal of these battles that were pretty messed up due to coming off the bead while drifting


so i got them fixed and powder coated by vibrant finish


next couple of mods included a intake i got on craigslist for dirt-cheap and a racingbeat cat back i also got for pretty cheap and some random stuff like hids, leds for interior, powerdbymax shift ****, cusco drift **** mod, got my cat taking out,



And also got coilovers and this is how it looks to date:

 

So where is the build?

 

daily drifter?
do they call you DK?

 

R3 isn't even worth it if your gonna be drifting

 

very true but i am also going for looks i hate shitty drift cars

Not my style for the car but I like the wheels in white. How much did the refurbish and refinish cost?

What intake do you have? Most are worthless.

In all cost me about 900 to paint and fix them not worth the wheels but I love battles im about to get them repainted a new color

I have a k&n got it for 30 bucks on c list i wanna get something else just not sure what to get

 

Got my windows tinted 5% at J and J automotive trying to get a sponsor
pretty dark but looks good


will get a better shot later and also got some stuff for my cooing system: mishimoto thermostat, higher pressure rad cap,… need to get a radiator and rad hoses..

and also got the poweredbymax multi digital gauge (volts, oil pressure, and coolant temp)

and neons

next will be bhr ignition.

then start on more exterior, wing skirts and a lip and powder coat wheels a different color
and start making my car ready for the track

I hope you're already good at drifting. There is a reason most guys use beaters...

 

ive had many "beaters" beaters are gay and for poor people.

Same thing I'm doing with my 04 Rx....my hardest decision right now is between springs or coils and whether I should get my current sent of enkie rajin's fixed and repainted or get a different set of wheels....

 

 

Definitely get coilovers, springs aren't worth it. Never know when you will need to adjust your suspension at the track.

 

summer is coming up fast and i have almost all the pieces to finish my car for the summer season.

what i have that will be going on the car:
BHR ignition
new plugs
mishimito thermostat
jdm rad cap
poweredbymax multi gauge (coolant temp,oil pressure,voltage)
touch screen headunit
neons
sideskirts
new wheels
also going to run some vinyl

things i need:
make a front splitter and winglets
figure out a wing... not sure what i wanna do (gt wing, 326 wing, evo 8 wing, or low mounted gt wing)
get a lot of things powder coated
and some other things

just installed front and rear pads and front and rear braided lines stop tech








made a bigger ground on the BHR ignition

 

I need to install my Stoptech SS brake lines, been so lazy lol.
