Ok, so I have a velocity red, and im running the XXR 521, 18x10 +25 in a silver with polished lip, I have a buddy that paint professionally and we are going to paint them gold, the only debate im having in my head is to just paint the center (mesh part) and leave the lip polished, or paint the entire wheel, lip and all? I cant make up my mind, everything ive looked up online, people just paint the center, but this will be a bright gold, almost a chrome gold not a flat gold, and I cant decide, any ideas from yall?

 

I saw whole wheel. I am not a fan of the polished lip look.

Do you have a picture or sample of the gold you are going to do? Is it a metallic?

 

I don't at the moment, but its the closest to a chrome gold you can get without it actually being that color, have to be a special paint and body show to even get that stuff... but it will be a shiny, light color gold, not a flat or dark...

 

If the gold is going to reflect almost like chrome, I'd say go for the whole wheel.
