Hey fellas and ladies,

Just dropping in as a newbie to say HI and TY
Have been looking through your forums for information for a year now (hence the title of this thread) and has been immensely helpful to get opinions and DIY's from other rotary owners.

I tend to be free speaking on forums, I work with computers so most of the time I'm using analogies and metaphors to explain my views. Old habits die slow I guess. Anyway hope you weren't offended I put it that way

@UcantCcanU I own a 06 6spd RX8 type s, had it imported from Japan a year ago, absolutely loving it! I like to keep my cars as standard as possible, not into the whole stanced thing or OTT body accessories. Just something about clean standard cars makes me (hard) heart pump fast.

Some details if you would like to know:

I've got Exas Evo-tune exhaust system for se3p, removed fog lights and running dual pipes to an hks intake system. GReddy type s adjustable suspension (not dropped to floor, enough to notice better cornering and other fun stuff). Blitz throttle controller (recommend looking into these). Took out the Kanatech? not sure what it's called of the top, and put in an alpine dvd system with HDD below it, double din style! Couple defi gauges hooked up to a control unit. Again I'm no mechanic, just things that might not be too impressive here.

I would like to know some things though, maybe you could help me out here, otherwise I will create a thread. What is happening with the throttle body when ignition is turned to acc position? I know from previous cars fuel pump sound is normal but not sure if it works the same way with rotors? and if so is it the fuel pump buzzing, because the buzzing coming from the tb is inconsistent and high pitched, sort of like if you make high pitch sound with your mouth and "face flap" (had to google search this term)

source with how to: https://answers.yahoo.com/question/i...8110144AAtGWne

Any help would be appreciated !

I've get a DW200 in my 8 now and it's no more noisier than the stock pump. When turning the key to the on potion you can hear it prime but after the engine is on you really shouldn't hear it any more. As for the throttle body buzzing I've never hear any noise at all from it ever. You could have a problem there.
