The DarkSide Drivers Ed (2 Track Days with Instruction) at Roebling Road (Savannah) will be on May 3rd and 4th. Roebling is a 2 mile road course with no outside walls and lots of run-off area. It is a great track to start out and learn speed (125 + at the end of the straight, brake and turn right). Come up for a great weekend. There is usually a good Mazda representation, 7's and 8's, I remember a 6 wagon tearing up the track as well as 3's and 2's. DarkSide does Taste of the Track ride-alongs. I will happily give RX8 Club rides at speed.

FYI, this is a great track for the 8, very easy to drive.

 

FYI, A great weekend planned. Groups are starting to fill up. Remember, DarkSide does a Taste of the Track? That means a guest can get instructor rides. A lot of the groups out there do not provide this option.

Checking the roster for Dark Side. What a mix of cars. This will be grand. But, um, rotary folks out there, right now it is one little RX8 up against BMW, Porsche, Corvette, Panoz, Nissan, Honda, Lotus, Ford, Mini Cooper, Volvo, VW and Scion. Need a little help here. Especially from the FI community.

For the rest of the Mazda community, We have 1 Speed3 and 3 Miatas. Some help would be appreciated there as well.

Bummer. We used to have a pettit based one. Denny was hell on wheels and great fun to watch. I am getting tired of being down 200 hp, but cannot do much about it for awhile.

DarkSide does Taste of the Track ride-alongs. *Instructors can take your guests out at speed.

Groups are small, plenty of track time, and a great group. There is room in all run groups.

@ Article, the parcel shelf seems to rattle at speed with the windows down, or there is some really bad buffeting. We played with a helmet mount last time that worked really well. The camera is an old gopro on a mount attached to the kiddie seat bolts.

And yes, you should visit, it is a great weekend.
