Brake Pad Wear Indictor Orientation?

Brake Pad Wear Indictor Orientation?

I have a stupid question that I can seem to find an answer to: Should the rear brake pad with the wear indicator be on the inside or the outside? I haven't used pads with wear indicators in some time.

There is a big DIY on changing the brakes in the DIY section of the forum. But I do beleive it goes on the inside passenger side rear pad.
