Aren't those MS3 WHEELS 18x7.5 +52 and still weigh nearly 25 lbs?

Yup. I use them for DD and threw some performance tires on the stock wheels for autocrossing and other shenanigans. Would have gone for the R3 wheels if I didn't have to pay 3x as much.

So you put heavier smaller width rims on your 8? Would rather keep the stocks

R3 wheels are 19x8 and forged. So lighter despite being bigger and you can fit alot more tire, worth the price tag over the speed3 wheels if performance was what you were after.

Speed3 wheels are a less aggressive than our stock Rx8 wheel. Idk how you could expect more performance out of an 18x7.5 +52 wheel over the stock 18x8 +50. Should've stuck with stockies and thew 245/40s on em.

Well, in all fairness he didn't say he expects more performance out of his new wheels. He said " I use them for DD and threw some performance tires on the stock wheels for autocrossing and other shenanigans."

For all we know, he could have gotten the MS3 wheels for an amazing deal. Choosing to retain the stock wheels purely for performance duty, allowing him to swap between the two sets for different purposes.

I missed the part of where he kept his stock wheels, but unless he got em for free (which I'm hoping he did).. I dont see how it'd be a good deal.
