Anyone try any of BG products in their engine? They have an oil additive and some fuel system products that seem interesting. Help engine oil resist heat break down, and get rid of deposites, etc. They obviously stand behind their product since they warranty any part flushed with their fluids before 60k for the life of the vehicle. I just tried some this oil change, just wondering if anyone else has.

 

With the frequency of our oil changes, the cost doesn't make sense for oil additives if you are using a quality oil in the first place. That can be evidenced by looking through the UOA threads

 

Yea, that's pretty true. As long as you get the oil changed when you should it will be fine, doesn't matter too much about what oil you use. As you'll find the type of oil varies greatly on the 8s, from conventional to full synthetic, and 0w-30 to 10w-30 and heavier, and everyone has their own opinion. No sense in wasting money.

 

44K is great in the fuel system.
