So I went to install some new speakers in my door today and found these Bose speakers in place instead of the usual speaker and amp combo it was some kinda hybrid speaker. I found one other post with this speaker, but no info on them.
Are these for the Shinka only?
If I replace these speakers does this mean I will need to buy a headunit and amp for sure?

 

Those are stock Bose speakers.

Yes these are stock! 06 and up speakers? or shinka only? I haven't seen very many of these pop up and I am curious if anyone knows.

OMG. Looks like the little chip hidden inside those masks in Halloween 3.

 

I wonder if there are any mini (cost effective) amps that I could install in each door along with a new aftermarket speaker that would put out at 4 ohms to match most aftermarket speakers?
