RX-8 struggles to start

Guys I'm officially an RX-8 owner. However, I can't say I'm a proud owner as my car struggles to start. Was advised to do a general service along with coil change. I serviced the car and change the coils as well as the spark plugs and wire but the problem still persist. Now I have the check engine light on and when scanned giving me error codes P0076 and P2259. Could these errors be the reason why my car struggles to start? Please help. Thanks.

No, neither code will have an impact on starting.

Now that your ignition is good, time to test the battery, compression, and starter. If the battery is old and weak, replace it. If it's healthy, then move to a compression test. You should have gotten one before purchase anyway, but I'm guessing you haven't. One will give you the health of the engine and the starter at the same time, and you can rule in or out each of those possibilities. Lots of people buy dead engine RX-8s. Like the guy that posted a new "trouble starting" thread right before you did: https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-f...8/#post4593996

Ok guess I won't worry about replacing those solenoids then. Thanks for the advice and as such I'll do a compression test since it has a new battery.
