Help, new clutch install, shift lever positioned too low.

Just had a shop replace my clutch with the exedy stage 1 from BHR. Everything is working great but the shifter is a bit lower than I remember. I've already called the shop and am taking it back tomorrow but he sounded confused on how that could happen.

Wanted to check with you guys on what could have happened (while researching for a new clutch on here I saw someone had the same problem and it was followed with a quick fix but I cannot find that post for the life of me)

(EDIT: and what would be the correct height for it?)

Long time reader, first time poster.
Help me guys! And thank you!

I know the post your talking about i just read it not that long ago. Mabye a month or so. If my memory serves it could either be a bushing in the incorrect place OR when they re installed the shifter itself they allowed it to drop lower than normal. Im going to search hopefully RIWWP or AL will chime in here.

That may actually have been what i saw mike, is that when the trans is reinstalled they dont align it AKA raise it high enough and just bolt it down.

Yep. Have them put it back exactly like it was. Should be easy with the bolt marks.

There is a spec for the PPF. The bottom of the PPF should be 2.1 or so inches above the bottom of the front crossmember. Measurement is taken from the BOTTOM of the crossmember.

This is the spec needed, I'm betting that it's off.

Good this is a potentially dangerous symptom (ppf bolts lose).
