So I just picked up this project (2004 RX8) from a buddy who wrecked it, and needed something reliable to drive.

 

Engine is in good condition, and the frame is possibly recoverable; however, I was able to pick up a cheap shell off Craigslist with a blown motor.





And my buddy is going to swap the engine out of the wrecked red RX8 into the black shell. Let the resurrection begin!

Now that you have 2 cars and 1 running think you might sell the bank 1 o2 sensor out of the one not being used?

I know of someone else who will be looking for parts if you decide to part the other out. Such as the button on the center console. Possibly the rear right brake caliper. Possibly rims with TPMS?? And also what shocks and springs (if you decide to sell them) Do you have avail? Incase you haven't figured it out by this far into reading IM the guy who's looking for parts

 

I'll ask the guy doing the work. I know he's got plans for some of the parts.

I am not. I can do some stuff myself, but an entire engine swap is beyond me.

Plans for now are to replace the suspension. It's got 131K on the OEM shocks and springs. Then add sway bars, a COBB access port tuner, and water injection.
