How to get rid of the "collapsing" rear suspension feel under cornering
Now that I'm back on, and saddled with, the stock suspension here's what I did to 86 that awful "collapsing" of the rear end in corners..
1. 86 the spare tire, bar, etc. Thats a lot of weight mounted up high in the trunk
2. Get rid of all the negative camber! Not needed for the street. I'm changed it to just .2 neg front, .3 in the rear.
Everything is mint now.
I found only one mag that noticed this awful sensation in the last decade..
"The standard car has a tendency to lean quite markedly on an outside wheel as though it's collapsing into a corner when you push it hard. It's a strange sensation, one which makes the car feel as though it's about to slide when in reality there's still plenty of grip to come"
