For the people who take their rx8 to car shows how do you guys keep your electrical system running without having the engine started? I have taken my car to some shows and with the sound system setup people want to see it running

would a trickle charger work or do I need something more bigger?

 

I've ran my motorcycle while still connected to a trickle charger, but don't know if the draw from a car's electrical system would overload it, I know turning on my parking lights with the trickle charger connected to the -8 without the engine running sent the tricla charger into 'failsafe mode" (telling me that the battery connected to it was bad)

if you have a good enough battery it could work, but one of those charger/self-powered emergency starter combos would be a better bet (especially if plugged into the wall while running the car's electrical)
