So the other day after going to a local shop I parked my 8 drove fine all the way there and went into the store. I came back out went to start the car and nothing, no gauge lights nothing. Also my door locks on my key fob wouldn't work, so I went to my battery and found I had a loose Terminal so I jiggled it around and got back in the car and it would start but now my center console is black, no time nothing also my buttons don't work either cant take the cd out cant turn AC or defrosters on but my Blower **** is working and my Navigation is lit up.

So whats the deal I take the car to get checked out tomorrow but I would like an opinion on what the problem could be so I can make sure they fix it correctly.

Ps I have replaced the terminal as well that problem isn't happening anymore car drives great just the center console is dead.

 

Fuse would be my first check. There's a 30A under the hood for audio system and the power outlet. Plug in a phone charger, if it doesn't work check the fuse.

 

Yeah we had a mechanic friend check the fuses they seems fine and phone charger works fine, just the CD player buttons and the AC/defroster buttons and the Red display above the cd player is black and i cant remove or turn up and down the Cd.

 

Did he check the ones inside the car as well? Those (2) radio ones doesn't affect the lighter. Not that I don't trust a mechanic to know that, but I just don't trust mechanics to know anything..

 

Yeah he checked the ones inside the car below the steering wheel and inside the engine bay. They all looked fine. haha I hear that we grew up together so I trust him.
