Partial paint job

I have a BB 06 and had a question regarding the pain.

Has anyone ever had just a partial paintjob on a BB? how did it turn out? is the difference noticable? I understand that the quality of the paint job matters.
I ask because after much track day and auto X abuse from the past 5 years, my hood and front bumper is chipped and cracked to death. No amount of wash, clay, polish or wax could bring it back to life. However everything else is pretty much immaculate....would it be a good route to have the hood and front bumper repainted only?

Sure why not just have to 2 items done, should be an easy job for a professional painter just not a guy who says it can be done in his garage.

I had a touchup on the bumper of my 2010 and can't tell the difference in paints at all. Should look good and if not you can always get a full paint job. Slightly mismatched paints is better than cracked up hood and bumper imo

Actually a good paint guy can match plastic bumper cover to rest of car better than factory.
