looking for one of these bad boys. Im not really 100% sure about these things I just understand it can help my car run 'smoother' and i need a CEL deleted. looking for something locally i can go pick up. pm me your info
It's a little more complicated than just having the Cobb AP
Simply put, the device itself doesn't do either of the items you are wanting to do.
It's the software that can downloaded from Cobb called Access Tuner Race that has the ability to do those things you want to do - providing you know how.
The Cobb AP can then load the saved Map from the ATR software to your ECU.
The COBB AP can NOT do what you want on it's own.
Anyone that tells you otherwise is an idiot.

And simply put It can do what i want it to do, i just need the software as well.
Yeah clearly you understood thatJebuz dude I'm just trying to help you by making you aware that the Cobb AP will not make your car run smoother or remove a CEL.
Anyway you would be surprised at how many people do not realize they actually need to create their own custom ecu map using the ATR software to adjust RPM limits, idle speed, fan speeds, Mask Cells, modify fuel tables, etc.
But clearly you already know how to do these things so I don't expect to see you posting a new thread on how to use ATR software to or mask a cell or set the run smoother option.
