Lips!

Ok i was looking under the front of my 8 today and i thought... wow theres really little clearance...... I am about to order the Rmagic front lip and im just quite curious about the clearance after the lip because in stock form theres already VERY little clearance.....

so my question is for the ppl that have lips on their 8s.... any lips.... i just want to know if the clearance is REAL bad.....

and to make matters worst i was going to put some TEINS or Espelirs on the 8 and that would leave me with next to no clearance!

BIU,

there's 145mm of clearance w/ the stock air dam / lip

the Mazdaspeed drops it down to 130mm. Espelir's would drop it 30mm to 100mm...about 4 inches?

Thanks bro... that gave me a rough idea of what im looking at...

Im most definately gonna get the Rmagic front lip unless Greddy comes out with a lip within 3 weeks lol.....

So now that you had enough time to settle your Espelirs and run them in....... what is your final consesus on them?

I would probably get the Espelirs since the TEINS would be too much of a drop for a lip i would say...

Yesterday (sunday) I got to take the car down 25 miles of serious twisties with a bunch of other 8's and 3rd gen rx7's and we were doing about 40-60 through tight hairpins. I must say the improvement was well worth the install. I stuck on them easy (not in the straights though ) and the car held much tighter in the turns with far less pitching. All around I'm totally satisfied.

BIU,

The front finger gap is 2 fingers, the rear is about 1 1/2 fingers. I haven't had 2 'real' people in the back, but I've had a 2 year old and a four year old plus a trunk full of groceries from sam's club :D. Not even close to rubbing.
