Stability control (DSC) & ABS after swap

I've tired myself out looking for an answer to this.

I've been told by another RX8 owner that you can't get Mazda's stability control (DSC) and ABS after a 13B3S2 swap as they both need an electronic throttle input.

Is this true?

This begs the wider question - how do you get DSC and ABS with a 13B conversion?

The ABS should work but my understanding, and according to the service manual, is that the DSC uses the electronic throttle to limit power. It certainly requires control over the engine output via the PCM. Since your PCM isn't controlling the engine then it won't have any effect on the power therefore no DSC. To achieve it you'd probably have to change over to a system where you're using the PCM via a piggyback like an Interceptor X or a plug-in system that retains the PCM and the electronic throttle like the Adaptronic Select ECU, which can run a 13B-REW, Clive @MRP's build is doing this!

Will, thanks. Is there no end to Clive's talents?

Not true at all. I have both abs and traction control. I can use either throttle body(FD or stock rx8) and still retain the traction control.

i'got all systems working with 2JZ engine...

the solution is to emulate crank position sensor from stock engine as well as to use throttle form stock engine.

the rest like injectors and coils can be simulated by resistors.
OMP oil system simulated by stepmotor and microswitch

in this case all your systems will work
