How wasn't it for you?! Explain what it felt like as opposed to the stock Torsen diff...

Well it made the car behave differently then what I needed. It felt very stable in slaloms, but it made the car push on sweepers. If I lifted at all, it unlocked quickly and I would start to slide.

It made me confident in areas I wasn't usually because it wouldn't kick out on me, it would just understeer, but there were times where I needed that rotation that I can get easily with a Torsen and not easily with the Tomei.

Basically, it's just driver preference. Some people hopped in the car and LOVED it (mostly people that had OS Giken or Corvette people, which have a clutch type diff from the factory), and some other people (Miata guys mostly) preferred the car when it had the stock Torsen, myself included.

EDIT: Also, I was getting annoyed with constantly playing around with the alignment frequently and changing my driving style in order to accommodate the diff. The main reason I got the diff was to eliminate inside wheel spin, which I eliminated by other means.

From my understanding you can convert it back to a 2-way the way it is. I wanted it a 1.5 Way because 2-way is WAAAYY too aggressive. Put it this way, the drift RX-8 that Tony Angelo raced had a 1.5 Way Tomei in it. That should give you a good idea that 2-way would be too much.

1.5 locks on acceleration 2 way lock on both accel, and decel. I'm drifting my 8 and want the diff if you have the 2 way parts.

PS T Angelo is a great friend of mine, as is all the DA crew. 2 way for the win.

Yeah? no kidding. Tomei told me that he used their diff in his drift RX-8. I'll double check but I honestly don't know what the parts were to begin with as I never did the rebuilding of this. It's about the only thing I haven't done myself on the car.

Yes it is. I would think $70 for shipping is plenty given it's weight and all.
