Introduction!!

Hey everyone! I just bought my first RX-8. I picked up a torn up 2004 base model. I decided to dump my turbo saturn and get something nice, lol. I just gotta throw in a new clutch and put on some body panels. I've been reading all the DIY's and I think I'm ready. Engines aren't new to me but rotarys are. I'm excited! Thanks for having me!

I've sent out about 6 PMs to people on their sales. In a week I haven't received even a single response. Is this normal around here? Everywhere else, I atleast get a courtesy of "sorry sold" or something like it.

Not normal that I am aware.

Welcome BTW. It may be in part because you are new. I've never had to wait more than a day or two for a PM.

Thanks. I was just curious. I am still getting 10+ PMs a day on the saturn forum, I was expecting more population here lol. I was worried that this place just didn't have a whole lot of community. I have found so much great info here and I was scared it was dead lol. Thanks for the info. I'll just keep reading and people will get to know me eventually. Thanks for easing my nerves a bit.

Also, weekends are pretty dead here. Usually a few hundred people on during the weekdays.

Like Kane said it may be something to do with the new rules for new members. I would be very surprised that none of them answered you.

They were new threads and not ancient ones your resurrected right?

Yeah, I need a clutch and some body panels, but really just a clutch right now. I posted a WTB and I PM'd on 5 different ones for sale. (within last 5 months) And nothing back. A couple were a few days to a month old. I understand, I'm the new guy lol. I just gotta find a clutch so I can put this back together and I'm not ready to pay 600 at the part store. Even 260 at SummitRacing (still local to me) is kinda pricey cuz it's not exedy.

Yeah, i'll throw some up when I get back so everyone can see the before/after. I did however remove all the stickers this kid had on it. I didn't even like towing it with all that crap. This kid had it all riced out. I should have taken pics before I took em off. I peeled off 22 stickers.......

Welcome! If there is any info you need on the car you can find it here. The community is very helpful, just make sure to do research on your own before starting a new thread. You will get flamed if you expect hand outs on advice. Other than that enjoy the community, I have learned more about cars here than anywhere else. Welcome to the club.

I'm still not done with the sticker removal. They are everywhere. We also lost the back bumper on the ride home. We had the thing on a trailer, we didn't even drive it. Bumper still flew off. We now know the bumpers were not secured. They were duct taped......

Been looking at the pictures you provided...is that a salvage car? How much did you pay for it? Just curious...
