ok so the suspension is not cushy and when I go over a bump the cd sometimes skips not perfect but certainly understandable. However, the cd will cut out when the road is smooth also just as if it had hit a bump. This happens on a clean store bought cd as well as my burnt ones. Any ideas? FYI it is the non bose single disc non mp3 head unit.

 

The player may be taking a dump, some part getting too hot maybe. I have experienced that before on a CD player, it happens. Find yourself a good used unit if you can. Replacing with an aftermarket unit can get kind of pricey.

 

It could be a defective unit, just get a new one or go back to oem.

 

the dump makes sense, guess I'll just put up with it til I get some money to get a new unit put in.
