Navigation wiring bypass

We have an 04 GT with the bose speaker system and built in nav and since you can't get updates for it anymore we have upgraded our whole system. It is all installed with one hiccup, without the nav DVD unit plugged in we lose the front left channel (speakers). Does anyone know how to bypass it.? I have done a search for the solution on here with no luck. If there is an answer somewhere please include a link so I can put my car back together.

Well I know that the navi goes through that speaker, I also know they make Bose without navi. Just need to find the wire the goes to that speaker and maybe splice into it.

This is a long shot, but there's a post somewhere on this site (DIY or interior electronics section, I think) by someone who added a factory nav to a car that came without it. There might be something he did to the wiring that you can do backwards.

I assume you've got the shop manual and wiring diagram?
