Or are they all the same? I am interested in an automatic and longevity. I realize that the automatic does NOT promote longevity, but .....

So is there any difference in the newer and older engines with more or less oil injectors as to longevity?

Is the cooling different on different years? I live in South Texas where its HOT so better cooling would promote longevity.

I dont plan on a lot of use, maybe 3,000 miles a year, does that reduce longevity as it does on my Jaguar or is this car more like my Rolls that thrives on disuse?

I recommend that you read the New and Potential Owner's Start Here thread.

Yes, there are engine differences between 2004-2008 and 2009-2011. Yes, there are cooling differences between automatic and manual. No, sitting for longer periods of time doesn't hurt it as long as you take appropriate maintenance steps.

There are also differences in engine design (with 3 different designs), suspension, drivetrain, electronics, interiors, and features. On the surface most of the changes are rather subtle, but many of those subtle changes end up becoming quite profound as you really get to know the car.
