Vacuum hoses to lower intake

Thank you in advance for any help or information provided, I'm clueless, but learning.

I am currently awaiting the arrival of a turbo kit for my 06 6 speed. While waiting (it should be here very soon) I've decided to do as much as possible to get it ready for the turbo to cut down installation time.
What I'm working on right now is the installation of aftermarket gauges, but I've ran into a problem. I have no clue where to run the vacuum line from the AEM true boost controller into the manifold. Which is question #1 Where the heck does that line go.

In looking for a place to plug into the manifold I got the idea of perhaps the two ports on the lower intake. When I took a look I found two vacuum hoses already hooked up to them with a t running into the engine oil fill opening. Looking at a few diagrams this doesn't appear to be the way Mazda initially ran that. so question #2, Is this the way it is supposed to be ran, and if not, why would it be ran in such a way.

perhaps not, but I can afford to replace any thing I break, and this is something I want to learn. Got to start somewhere. Big problem is there is no one around here that deals in rotary engine cars, so I'm on my own, the other problem is the lack of to the point answers on this forum.
I appreciate the info I really do.

The diagram you are looking at was prolly for an '04 - the hoses were re-plumbed for the '06 model year.
