I'm new to the forum and am looking to buy an RX8.

I've been to look at one today and took a video of the hot start procedure of which I was a bit concerned about.

I thought I would get a video and post it here on RX8 club to get a second opinion.

The car hasn't had a new coil pack in its life and its done 45,000 miles. had new plugs about 2k miles ago and has had the re-call started motor fitted about 4 years ago.

It seems to drive very well, the bloke says he gets about 17-20 mpg from her and it idles nicely.

Could you please shed some light on my problem? to buy or not to buy?

Even if it didn't have trouble starting, we will tell you to get a compression test. With a hot start problem, we will simply say it with a greater sense of importance

We can't provide a recommendation until you have the compression test results.
