I have looked through the vacuum diagrams and i cannot find this sensor and where the vacuum line hooks up to. The sensor is next to the air pump it has a vacuum line attached but its broken and i cannot figure out where it goes. Its between the airpump and pcm box. It has a mitsubishi logo on it.

I don't believe it's broken, the end is supposed to be diagonally cut and open.

It's an elevation sensor

Pics would help, but that the only sensor I know thats in that location.

 

Yes it is cut diagonal! Im pretty sure you are correct. Iwill try to post a pic tomorrow. But im positive you are correct.

its an atmospheric pressure sensor, so the vacuum line needs to be hooked to air

 

It is fine, it has a diagonal cut and two little wires going to the sensor which has a Mitsubishi symbol. It should be like that.
