I've recently been contacted by Mazda's Marketing department regarding the Grand Prix of Mosport.

For the second year, Mazda Canada is hosting a Car Corral at the Mobil 1 Grand Prix of Mosport. As you know, last year we had a terrific group of Mazda owners, from Miata’s, RX-7’s and RX-8’s to Mazda3’s and Protégé’s. We all enjoyed some beautiful sunshine and watched some exciting racing.
I’d like to offer 10 tickets to the RX-7/RX-8 groups.

As you can see, Mazda is going to be hosting a nice get together again and are offering 10 tickets to the event.

This is the schedule for the event:

Mazda Corral
Mobil 1 Grand Prix of Mosport - July 18-21, 2013
Your Mazda Corral Ticket includes:
Four-day admission to the Grand Prix of Mosport
Access to a private tented area and parking in Corner Eight - Friday to Sunday
A chance to drive your Mazda on a parade lap
Sunday BBQ Lunch

Now those first 10 tickets are first come, first serve since I think that's the fairest way of doing things. This is 1 ticket per head. So if you're going to bring your significant other, you need to specify 2 tickets when you give me your name.

Normally tickets are $115 ($125 after July 5th).

Lets see if we can get more cars than last year out!

Didn't Mazda kick all the rotards out of their corral last year?

 

That's news to me. I never got the opportunity to attend. From what I heard the guys had a good time.

 

Ok, here's an update.

Down to 4 tickets! Get them while you can!

 

I could be wrong but I remember Gman told me that he attended something like this last year at Mosport, might not be this event, and Mazda asked all the rotary's to leave the corral because they no long sell them, or something along those lines.

This is correct,we did get the boot from the corral due to RX8's no longer in production,but all the 8's that attended parked just outside the corral and like the 8 owners we are,all the cars where parked in a nice orderly fashion,where the corral was a complete mess

 

Gotta love Mazda customer loyalty and appreciation.

Anyone else other than Neo hear from Mazda this yaer, or is it because we all have spinning triangles not up and down pop cans for engines?

 

Nope I am a little disappointed but I can appreciate this was a business decision...

I purchased my Mazda Corral ticket and will be there at least Sunday ( maybe Sat afternoon too). Going to try and get there early on Sunday to have a "chance" at the parade lap at 7am. However, if there is a deliberate corporate movement away from rotary engines, perhaps there won't much of a chance for rotaries in the lap. See you guys there.

 

So limited tickets this year? I would like to go as well.

Hey Guys,

The weekend is fast approaching. Here's the update for those of you who got tickets from me.

As expected, the tickets will be at the Registration trailer, at the Main Entrance off Concession #10. ID will be required to pick up your tickets.

Mazda Corral days & hours of operation are:

Fri. July 19 (1 p.m.– 4 p.m.)

Sat. July 20 (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

Sun. July 21 (9 a.m. – 6 p.m.)


Your Mazda Corral pass is good for four-day admission to the Grand Prix. A weekend schedule will be posted on the website in the weeks prior to the event.

A listing of exclusive Mazda Corral activities will be finalized this week. At that time you can consult the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park website for details. Activities will also be listed on site at the Mazda Corral chalet tent.

Mazda Corral is located on the inside of Corner 8. Enter the circuit through the Main Gate and follow the signs.

Mazda Corral parking area is exclusively for Mazda Corral pass holders, and only Mazda’s will be permitted to park in the area.

On Sunday, July 21 (Race Day), a continental breakfast, a BBQ lunch & beverage service will be provided. Lunch will be served at approximately 12:30 pm (but is subject to change).

The Parade lap is Sunday, July 21ST at 7:00 am. REGISTRATION TIMES FOR THE MAZDA CORRAL PARADE LAP IS NO LATER THAN 6:15 am THE MORNING OF THE LAP.
