Ticking noise (video link)
Ticking noise (video link)
Hey guys,
LINK HERE
Car is a 2006 with 60,000 miles. The ticking sound only happens when the car is warming up and, for whatever reason, more obvious if it's been recently humid/raining. Once the car is warmed up, the sound goes away. I'm not experiencing any rough idle or power loss, either. Should also mention that the spark plugs, wires, and coils have all been recently replaced.
Thanks!

Well thanks for the video, those do help.
However it would be better if you could do the same thing but capturing the engine bay as I suspect that is where the noise is coming from.
Now about the noise ... there are a couple ticks at the start that sound like your turn signal, yes?
Then there is the squeaky noise (squeaky IMO) thru the remainder of the video. Is this the noise you are referring too?
Like I said, it might be better to try and get a video of the engine while the car is running.
-- edit -- things that can cause ticking and squeaky noises.
- Belts
- Plug leads not connect correctly
- SSV
- Secondary Air Pump

Thanks for your input!!
I didn't take it from the engine bay because I wanted to be able to rev the engine up and down to show that the frequency of the sound correllates to the engine rpm.
The first few seconds was indeed the turning signal, forgot to turn off my hazards haha.
It's the ticking sound that's bothering me, although that squeaky sound is kind of annoying as well... My car is at 60,000, so perhaps the belts are due soon??
Thanks for any help, guys!
