Opinion on a trade? Copper red Shinka

I have the opportunity to trade my 04 winning blue GT with 81,9xx miles for a 06 copper red Shinka with 87,000.

My car has 15,000 on the engine, transmission, and clutch and the Shinka has the original engine/tranny. Based on this, should I not go through with it? Is there anything I should be wary of in an 06?

The shinka is at a dealership and they have no idea it's a shinka. It's in really good shape.

Thoughts?

Straight trade? Either way it depends on the condition of the cars. i woudl not trade my 04' for anything except a clean, low mileage 09'+ RX-8.

It would be a straight trade. I love the Copper Red and shinka interior, as well as the keyless start, but with such a huge difference in miles on the engine, I think I'm leaning towards not trading.

I may just get that interior some day though, WB might look pretty good/different with lighter interior.

Unless you're gonna upgrade to an '09+ I wouldn't bother.

Hi, im sorry for jacking this thread but for some reason i do not have permission to make a new one. I am interested in buying an alleged 2004 MazdaSPEED Rx8. 43000k miles on it. I have not done a compression test on it yet nor have i test driven it. Has stabilizer bars, mazdaspeed alloy wheels. etc. If this is an actual mazdaspeed rx8 i will crap bricks. Selling for $11,500. Crappy warranty 30 day/1000 miles. Expensive extended warranties are available. Initial thoughts?

Pics are in the attachments.

With regards to the OP, I absolutely love the Copper Red Shinka. If it were a straight trade, I would do it, but I've always trusted the '06+ models over the earlier.

As for Lil Tuna, there is no such thing as a "Mazdaspeed" RX8, unfortunately (At least in our part of the world). However, it does appear to have authentic Mazdaspeed body kit, as well as a few other options. That kit is getting harder to find, as it is no longer in production.
$11, 500 is way to steep a price, in my opinion.

Read the stickies in the new owners forum to get an idea of what you should look for when purchasing an rx8

Yeah im currently reading them as we speak. Carfax looks fairly clean. The dealership doesnt have any records of previous maintenance.

CARFAX Vehicle History Report for this 2004 MAZDA RX8

Only thing im unsure of is if the recall issues have been adressed. Can i call any mazda dealership and give them the Vin to see if it has been taken care of?
