This was my first time running the 1/4 with my RX8.. I have raced many times before with previous cars.. Here's my best slip

R/T = .853
60' = 2.08
1/8 = 10.31@73.85
1/4 = 15.47@91.6

Personally I thought a 60' that good would of netted be closer to 15.0 since I nailed that launch, but i'm pretty happy I guess..

I launched around 6k letting out the clutch just enough so the tires wouldn't spin too much. It was about 75 degrees, average humidity at sea level. I shifted at redline each shift.

My other runs were 15.8@90.1 (2.3 60') and a 15.6@91.1 (2.18 60').

I gotta order canzoomer's kit soon, i was hoping to break into the 14's stock but after those runs I think i'll need the kit to do it.

 

Nice. Did you deflate your tires for this run? Did you have stock tires too?

Could someone with CZ1 here run the track please?! We'd like to see how well you would run on the 1/4 :D

 

My first run where I did a 2.3 60' was fully inflated.. I dropped the psi down to 26psi and managed the 2.18 and the 2.08. Helped alot.

did you use the burnout box to warm up your tires?

 

I went around the burnout box and did a small little spin up.. Just to warm them up a bit and clean off whatever dirt collected in the pits..

 

I'd be happy too as soon as my CZ1 arrives. I'll be doing some runs at Atco Raceway on Tues. 4/6 to get a baseline. I have an exhaust but I don't expect that to matter much.
