You may have a transmission issue. What is the mileage?

Moved to Troubleshooting for you. Sorry, I don't have any AT experience to guess at a problem with that limited bit of information.

First thing to check is the fluid level and condition; but it sounds like a trip to a transmission shop is in order.

Well it all started one night driving home it wouldn't go past 2 gear automatically and when i put my foot all the down on the accelerator it didn't even budge at all. Once I got home going 20 mph I parked it and the next morning I tried to leave and it didn't back up only went forward. It does sounds like a transmission job to me but I had someone say that the air solenoid could be it too

It may not be the transmission. For automatic transmissions, the shifting logic takes into account many factors, including the load on the load on the engine. If the engine is performing terribly, it may not be providing an engine load value sufficient for the shifting module to command the shift.

Some of the points in your last post seem to indicate a clogged cat, which would be from the ignition failure.

You clearly have something going on with the engine at the moment. Solve that first before you start on the transmission issues.
