No only a "Rotary Engine" compression tester can tell you if it's low compression.

No point praying, hearing "nails" inside your engine generally means you've blown a seal.

Take it off and have a look at it. No it won't sound the same.

You said the nail noise is coming from inside your engine, not your exhaust system.

a bad spark plug would not cause "banging" or "nails in your engine". Just get the compression test and go from there

you are having an ignition problem that includes ping/knock and the inability of the engine to idle or make power at low revs. thats more than likely bad coils but could include bad/fowled plugs and up to blown engine. a further diagnosis will determine which

i changed one coil pack and it was sitting just below 1000rpm for a good few min rev a bit then it died also one of the spark plugs are rusted at the end where you plug the lead into and noticed the spark plugs was last done 2011 and only coil 4 has ever been replace done a ohms test all passed fine on a-b but none gave a reading on b-c.could i need new coils and spark plugs when it was running the higher the revs the more the gear stick shaked
