Alternator Wiring Issue.
Hi, I am new to the fourm, and can't seem to find help on the issue at hand. I won't go into specifics, other than to say I have a dumbass friend who was helping me work on my 05 6-speed, and he pulled the wires from the back of the plug that goes in the back of the Alternator. It pulled directly out of the plastic plug shroud, so there is defnitely no soldering that can fix it. I can't find a replacement plug, and the girl at Mazda parts said they only sell it as part of a complete wiring harness for around 500 bucks, and I don't have that kind of money to waste on a bunch of parts I will probably never use. Is there any help out there for me? I know the alternator says Mitsubishi on it, and I was wondering if Anyone might know of another car that has a compatible plug i could splice in? Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I have no clue where to go from here. I haven't been able to drive my baby for three months. HELP!!!
I would honestly give Mazmart a call. They are located there in Georgia, and I'm sure they could locate you something that works, probably something that they can either have on hand or can get their hands on quickly.
Thanks, I tried getting some intake manifold parts from them not too long ago, and they only had one of the ones needed. The computer was throwing a code related to the secondary air injection solenoid valve or something like that. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what they say. Thank you!
