i want to get some stuff done to my 8 before the rotary rally in april. ignition swap,(coils, plugs and wires) sway bars with end links, lowering springs, and a short throw shifter. there is a shop in the barry hill area of nashville that can do it, but id rather do the job with someone who has worked on the car them self so i can observe and work on it as well. id be more than happy to compensate for time, buy lunch or something. just wanted to know if anyone has done this kind of work before and knows what they're doing. i dont doubt i can do it myself, im just short of work space.

 

I probably wouldn't mind to help. I have tools etc. I'm in Murfreesboro though. Most of that wouldn't take very long.

I would recommend an alignment after lowering it. The rest of it should actually be really easy. I did mine with hand tools, but have an air compressor now, so it should be really quick. I'll PM you my phone number.

 

Been there, done all that. Actually, about to do the plugs, wires and coils in a week or so.

The biggest pain, out of all those, is the front sway bar. The factory one comes out easy enough, but the thicker aftermarket bar is a tight wiggle in there. We unbolted the upper control arm to drop the spindle which made it much easier. This was also done with the struts removed, since I swapped those at the same time.

I would help as well, but I have a pretty hectic schedule leading up to DGRR.

 

since he's lowering it, we'll have to pull the struts anyway.
