As expect the all new generation Mazda 3 will arrive in 6 months time ...for the world.

Will be made out of Hofu Plant, Japan...

And within a year after, North American supplies will comes out of all new Mazda Mexico plant as will Mazda 2.

BTW: Don't expect a Mazdaspeed 3 (MPS)..

I hear there will be larger 2.4l 4 cyl SA-Turbo DIESEL for the all new CX-9...since the current 3.7 Ford V6 ends as will all Ford engines (MZR) finish in <2 years time...thank god...Mazda has been paying a premium from Ford for these parts (60% of)...(it has cost Mazda $600 extra per engine to use a MZR/Ford).

Since now using Skyactiv Engines (100% Mazda) their profit has come back....funny that.

Ford was good only for Ford.

The MS3 needed to have an AWD variant IMO anyways

Yeah, it is going to be really interesting to see what they REALLY do, (confirmed) not rumors.

As basically Mazda has not what I would called a 'performance car', except Miata, (once the MS3 is gone) and that is what 167HP.

I believe it will be a few more years....or 2015.

Oh yes, of course .

I assume the new 3 won't be riding on an entirely new platform based on the universal SkyActiv chassis? Heard some words on that a while back.

Another good news for the Mazda3! I think the Mazda3 will stay for a long time to come...

If that really is a Mazda 3, that's good looking.

I expect it to be badged 2014 and arrive a little earlier than most are thinking, as told to me by some who know more than me .

The interesting thing revealed here by Ash, is the initial Japanese supply. I did not know where we were getting the new car for the US so quickly. I was not sure if the Mexico plant was ready as yet for the BIG SHOW.

There are two Mazdas that have me very excited in anticipation right now and they are: The new 3 and new MX-5. They are both very close (I don't even need to start on my RX-7 feelings right now. That's a different level and requires another thread to contain my thoughts and excitement).

Paul.

Is this a full redesign or just a facelift?

So are the underpinnings part of the modular SkyActiv chassis?
