Anyone here from Lakeland Florida. I see quite a few 8s around these parts

I used to be out that way quite a bit I'm sure you maybe saw me driving around.

 

I don't see them too often. Only one I've noticed around here is a ti grey lowered on stock powder coated wheels. Also see a black one dropped on black rims as well. Not to many modded ones around here.

 

I seen a girl driving a red one with all kinds of uprgrade, looked like internal and external. I needa see her again, she doesn't know were getting married yet lol. And I'm down 100% I'm waiting on ignition coils right now though.

 

I actually know of some people wanting to do an RX-8 run in Orlando, meet up and ride and stuff. If he sets a date, we should definitely meet up and ride that way.

 

That would be the ****. Hopefully I can get some more upgrades by then so I can keep up with the 6spd 8s in my slow auto

 

I nvr driven an auto 8, how is it?

 

I've never driven a standard 8 so I can't compare the two. But I love my auto 8. I never drive in the regular auto mode. I'm always driving in shiftronic manual everywhere I go. Most people think its a 5 speed Lol. 7.5kRpm redline is still prettysweet though. somehow the way i manage to shift mine i end up shifting at 8krpm. I did this on my last transmission and it trashed it . New trans and redline fluid is in her now. Runs awesome. The 0-60 is pretty shitty, however anywhere between a 20-60mph roll and this thing keeps up with integras civics and what not. But the thing still corners like its on rails. Just wish I could get this thing to rev to 7500rpm quicker than what it does.

 

Sorry dude, unless you gonna go SC or Turbo, you won't ever keep up with the manuals.

 

Ahhhh I was excited to drive with ya too. I have led foot and a 6 speed I'm gonna have to let you catch up at times lol. Jk it'll still be fun, still. You should trade up though :p

 

Haha true that. Should be a blast. I'll really know how they compare then. I was thinking of trading up but to big of a gamble for an engine that could **** and be stuck making payments on a very pretty paper weight. If I trade up, I'm probably going to a 02-03 wrx

 

I was thinking of going forced induction but way to much money for such little reward
