Rough idle while warmed up

I was wondering if I need to replace my spark plugs cause when I first start my car it's a strong idle but then when it gets warmed up it idles anywhere from between 1200-800rpms... Any suggestions
Thanks, Reno

Quite possibly but more info is required for someone to give you an answer. What year is the car? MT or auto? How many miles? Maintenance record (in particular how many miles do you have on your plugs, coils, and wires)? Driving history?

Well if you got no idea how old your ignition components are, you should replace them. Take a look at your plugs and see how they look. You could also test your coils.

Does your car idle normally when the clutch is pushed in?

Have you done any of things me and shinka/evo told you to do? Have you checked your ignition, intake tube and filter, maf? Further, check your ess and cat...Unstable idle could aslo be due to failing motor mounts.

i noticed a substantial improvement at idle when i cleaned the MAF as stated in the sticky about the first ten things to do when you buy your rx-8...worth a try i'm sure.
